Eagle Condor Humanitarian Internships

Humanitarian Internships are a non-paid opportunity and experience to further the objectives of our organization. ECH Interns provide important stepping-stones toward self-sufficiency for the children under our care. This includes programs in Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. In return, our Interns receive professional work experience and other requisites to help them progress in their future career goals.

Purpose

The heart of an internship is focused on creating options and opportunities for our at-risk children and families in the communities and countries where we serve. ECH believes in empowering children through nutrition, health, education, and skill development to produce long-term poverty alleviation. It is imperative interns understand this objective and strive to exemplify these values in the work they will do.

Internship Requirements

  • Live in the community in which you’ll serve
  • Length of internship may be geared around your schedule, but we do request an 8 week minimum commitment
  • Basic Spanish is required
  • $500 logistics fee in addition to covering your transportation, food, and housing costs
  • Needed Skills: Problem Solver, Flexible, Hard Worker & Self-Motivated
  • Willing to always adhere to the ECH Code of Conduct
  • Consistent communicate with ECH staff to reach personal and organizational goals
  • Minimum age 19

Safety

As with any international travel, risks are involved, and it is important to be aware of your surroundings. ECH strives to provide a safe and secure environment for the children, staff, and interns. ECH has the right to remove any interns who do not provide a safe haven for the children under our care
