Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are some past expedition projects?

Eagle Condor Humanitarian started in 2003.  Over the many years we have supported, constructed, repaired, taught and donated to hundreds of projects.  Here is a list of a few of the past projects:

Construction of schools, city meeting centers, food kitchens, sewer systems and bathrooms, digging wells for water, playgrounds and greenhouses. This includes everything from laying the cement, building walls, constructing roofs, installing plumbing, painting,  electricity and everything else to get them up and running.

Likewise we have repaired or upgraded many similar facilities to help them continue to function.

We fund schools and children's programs.  We provide tutoring, meals, supplies and support in many ways.  We bring donated humanitarian items to hospitals, orphanges, small villages and schools.

We bring in doctors to do medical exams and surgeries, dentists to help with teeth and optometrists that do vision exams and provide glasses to those that need it.

We do in country self-reliant training to help the people become self sufficient and make a difference in their families and communities.

This is just a small glimpse of the whole picture. Take a look at our website to learn more or sign-up to receive our monthly newsletter.

Sometimes, the countries we work with have situations that impact our expeditions.  This could be anything from weather related, natural disasters, government unrest, and strikes among the people.

Absolutely!!  In fact, we encourage it.  If someone would like to contribute to your expedition, they can find a link on this website under donations and make a payment there.  And of course, we always welcome checks as well.  Our address is  7135 S Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah  84121.

  • What does an average day look like on a expedition?

An average work day starts out with a breakfast in the hotel and then loading up on the busses to head to the project site around 8 a.m.

After a welcome and orientation, on the projects being done that day, we will get to work.  And when we say work we mean it.  We typically only have a few days to accomplish our goals and so we labor diligently throughout the day.  Even though it is tough is is also joyful.  We work side by side with the local villagers and often their children.  We talk together, sweat together and make memories as we see the fruits of our labors come to fruition.

We break for lunch that has been prepared by Eagle Condor Team Members.  After which we get back to work.

We wrap up our day on the site between 4 and 5 p.m.  And head back to where we are staying.

Our evenings our fusually filled with dinner together, shopping, siteseeing around the area, playing games or enjoying a shower even when the water isn't always hot.

Most expeditions have 3 to 4 work days and depends on the location and projects.

Of course, the rest of the trip consists of cultural activities, sightseeing and falling in love with the country.

Two to three months before your expedition we will hold a meeting in person or via zoom, depending on the situation, to discuss all the details of your upcoming trip.  We will provide a schedule, a packing list, flight itineraries,  and any other necessary information.  You will also be able to ask questions directly to one of our expedition leaders.

Within a week of your expedition, we will hold a "packing"  meeting.  During this get-together, we will ask you to bring your suitcase so that we can all work together to pack humanitarian supplies to take down to the country.  We will be able to answer any final questions that you may have and greet fellow expeditioners.
